EPD unlawful ticket scam THE SEQUEL.

EPD unlawful ticket scam THE SEQUEL. byGarryOwens2 months ago (5 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Once again EPD and Ellensburg refuses to follow the laws of the Great State of Washington and our RCW codes. This time they have RESERVED an entire parking lot 6ft from the hydrant even though there is a sign indicating NOT to park within 15ft.

I do not get it byPhoenix Rising2 months ago (4 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
So color me slow and even slower to understand this parking situation and I am also likely to regret this but would you care to write in a better explanation to what is wrong with not parking within 6' of a fire hydrant? Was it not, in drivers ed in this state clearly put out for our education that you couldn't park within 10' of a hydrant under any circumstances?
Unlawful rcw byGarryOwens2 months ago (5 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
To park within 15ft. OR to reserve any area for parking 15ft but there is an entire parking lot and at least 4 parking spaces 6-9ft away from hydrant - and in a hospital zone. AS OPPOSED TO the other parking video showing a sign FOR parking and 9ft from a hydrant. So clearly the City of Ellensburg cant understand RCW codes and WA laws or they just do what they want regardless.
Unlawful Revised Criminal Code? Um... byPhoenix Rising2 months ago (3 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Now how did that happen? Apparently I'm still not getting it here and I dare say I must please ask for some more information on this.

And how is this possibly impacting your zone of safety and peace of mind?

Any chance you might think that just possibly someone may have made a little error and will fix it soon?
RE: Unlawful Revised Criminal Code? Um... byGarryOwens2 months ago (5 votes) (report abuse)
How it affects me personaly isnt the issue. No ellensburg will not fix these errors they have been there for years. So all those people who parked there in that lot as seen in the video should have been ticketed (by WA law) but werent, and if they were it should be thrown out of court because ellensburg unlawfully reserved, created, etc parking less than 15ft. If cars had been parked there and a fire broke out in the hospital the fire engines would have limited access to hydrant on one side and cars impeding on the other side. Ellensburg broke the law when they allowed a hospital to have parking there (that spot), or placed fire hydrant there.
Jurisdictional Authority byThousand Sun2 months ago (6 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
It happens everywhere. Cities, counties and local governments set their own rules and codes.

Example: Washington fire code says you have to lay wire in a certain way. If the inspector comes through and tells you that their country rules require you to put up the wire up in a slightly different way then you better pay attention.

I'm still thankful that you aren't in public office because you'd cause more harm that people who actually know how to do their jobs would have to spend considerable time fixing.

P.S. Your videos still suck. They have next to no informational context.
RE: Jurisdictional Authority byPhoenix Rising2 months ago (4 votes) (report abuse)
AND one particular feeling about something I can't quite identify other than to say if this video man was Nero and Ellensburg was his Rome, he'd be happy to fiddle with his videos and this forum while his neighborhood was destroyed and it would be OK because someone in city government didn't follow some little rule, then gave him a parking ticket and the police chief might be a crook?

OMG. OK, next?
RE: Jurisdictional Authority byAureliux2 months ago (2 votes) (report abuse)
It's, "Revised Code of Washington" not Revised Criminal Code. Do like the analogy of a new age pseudo Nero fiddling with videos while E-burg needs some real help with positive reinforcement, not glaring hate filled criticisms.

Suppose in some narrow views of the world, the abuse must continue until morale improves?

A.
Since when byGarryOwens2 months ago (5 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
does a city or county code overide State and Federal laws? Come on man get real.
Garry/Larry/A** Clown/ w/e else bylarryisadb1 month ago (0 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Explain how this is a scam?? Do they sit and wait for people to park in those spaces the walk over and write them a ticket?? because im sure they don't, but that would be a scam. Does this issue really affect u in anyway? no i really doubt it. It just really shows the kind of person you are, going out of your way to make an issue out of nothing. you were probably the person in school who would tell on other kids for swearing or any number of things that didn't affect you, and nobody liked that guy. Some words of advice: Its better for people to think your stupid then open your mouth and remove all doubt. please remember this next time you post something.

PS. I think I saw some underage kids smoking by the high school, you may wanna go check out this serious public health issue and take some pictures/videos and send it to the proper authorities.

Actually, Larry was not like that in school. He was the exact opposite. And, he was liked. Go figure.
just a thought... bygorilla in the room1 month ago (2 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
I wonder if the whole "how many feet away parking/fire hydrant/sign" stuff is the way it is because a jillion years ago, our founding fathers decided to put in fire hydrants on city streets and Ellensburg was less in population and noone really thought about parking ordinances with horseless carriages and etc. PLEASE!!! Isn't it called "grandfathered in"?
For example:
When building a new home and putting in rural route mailboxes, there is a certain code to follow with placement and a certain amount of sidewalk space for wheelchairs, strollers etc. YET in older homes where mailboxes are also on city streets, they are not required to updated those mailboxes due to the fact they were "grandfathered in".
So...why don't we (meaning you Larry) focus on some bigger issues than parking??

So here's my 2 cents worth for the next big menace to society that he can work on:

" “The results provided us with some data initially contrary to some of the things we’ve been hearing,” Harrison said.

The results showed that the downtown problem wasn’t as bad as some believed it to be."

The biggest problem, according to Harrison, seemed to be LITTER AND TRASH in the downtown.
