In an ideal world...

...we would create newer and better ways to build each other up

...we would make sure that EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE was guaranteed the basic life necessities, food, water, shelter, safety, and competent, quality, equal access medical and dental care

...we would choose to think the best of each other

...we would revere kindness above all else

...we would seek concensus rather than win/lose division...if even one person perceives loss, NO ONE wins

Anything to add?

Popular Saying a While Ago... byAureliux7 months ago (5 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
How did it all really go? Energetically Committing Random Acts of Kindness?

Seems as though there was another word after random. But it still sounds good to me even if I don't have it just right, I'm sure anyone reading that would understand what it means.

Practice Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty

Yes! I was missing that section. But I still don't think it's as complete as it was the first time I saw it printed on T-shirts, posters, and bumper stickers.

Wasn't this late 70's?

In our ideal world... byAureliux6 months ago (3 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Practice anonymous random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.

Look for what is right in our community and encourage it, bless it, and nurture good feelings all along the way.

Smile a little brighter, walk a little taller, be a little kinder, respect life and liberty and wonder how to infuse more positive energy into our own universe.

So let's please build things up. Anyone have anything they'd like to add on this fine palindrome day? It's 01/02/2010 and it's the same forwards and backwards.

Smile and Be Happy,

AND I'd have a set of studded tires for my bike so I could go out on a ride this AM. Need to get a set of those one of these days. Maybe it'll thaw out enough for a spin around town later today.

Another short bike ride today... byAureliux6 months ago (1 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Roads thawed out just enough to get up on two wheels so I have had a ride and it was good.

Read something about the economy and households no longer choosing to afford expensive multi media reception such as satellite or cable TV subscriptions? Could this mean that I might see more people out on bicycles, playing in the park, walking on the trails, or finding kayaks to paddle around?

I suspect that as soon as this weather straightens out I may well abandon more indoor things and get outside a lot more often.

And we do, all of us, live in a special place where there should be plenty of fantastic opportunities to experience the art of:

Practice anonymous random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.

In an Ideal World, a Perfect Setting in Town... byAureliux6 months ago (1 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Was just out for a wonderful bike ride. Layered up just right. Tooled around N of E-berg, shot down Helena and got out on the Iron Horse Trail off of Water Street and went west thinking I could get to Reecer Creek.

Walked the bike around a couple of big ice patches. 3rd one I got to, turned around and came back.

BUT it really wasn't a bad trip. Lot of little birds fussing around in the brush on both sides of the trail like it's spring time. Quiet and calm and no one else was out.

NO FLIES, NO MOSQUITO problems this time of year, either.

I just plain can't believe this is January. It really, REALLY can't get any better than this, during the winter here. Awesome.

FANTASTIC. So there is/was my ideal world today. Had bike, did travel, and I did take a couple shots with the Nikon while I was out.

Stay tuned...

One More Ideal Bike Ride... byAureliux5 months ago (1 votes) (report abuse) (reply)
Finally managed to get logged back into KV Talks. Kept getting kicked out last night.

While we haven't quite got the snow pack we need for an ideal irrigating summer, the weather sure has been stellar.

Saw another huge bunch of elk today. Did take some pictures. Stay tuned, I may get some up for everyone to look at.
